Fulton is North Mississippi's river city: the county seat of Itawamba County, home of Itawamba Community College, and sitting right on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway.

The daily rhythm

Fulton runs on the school calendar, the ball fields and the square. There is a real downtown, county offices, groceries and the essentials, and Tupelo is close enough that anything else is a short drive.

Work and commute

Many residents work in Tupelo — roughly a 25 to 30 minute drive — or locally in manufacturing, education, healthcare and county services. Itawamba Community College is a major local employer and a big part of town life.

Outdoors

The Tenn-Tom Waterway, the Natchez Trace Parkway to the west, and Bay Springs Lake to the northeast mean fishing, boating and hunting are part of ordinary life, not a special trip.

What it costs
