The 14-Day Home Prep Checklist Before You List
A practical two-week checklist to get a North Mississippi home ready to list without overspending.

You do not need a renovation. You need two weeks and a list. Here is the one we hand our sellers.
Days 1-4: Subtract
Remove one-third of what is in every room, clear all counters, take down most personal photos, and get anything you are not using into a storage unit or the garage. Space photographs better than furniture does.
Days 5-9: Repair and paint
Fix the doors that stick, the leaky faucet, the cracked outlet covers and the burnt-out bulbs. Touch up or repaint anything scuffed in a warm neutral. Match every bulb's color temperature — mismatched lighting shows up badly in photos.
Days 10-12: Outside
Pressure wash, edge, mulch, trim anything blocking a window, and clean the front door and porch. The first photo buyers see is the front of the house, and it decides whether they scroll or stop.
Days 13-14: Deep clean and shoot
Professional deep clean, windows included, then photography with the lights on and the blinds open. Do not let anyone photograph the house before it is truly ready — you only get one launch.
